Reflexology is a way of healing that dates back to ancient China (as long ago as 2330 B.C) and at the same time in Egypt, as depicted in the tomb of Ankmahor. The North American tribes of Indians are known to have practiced a form of foot therapy for hundreds of years. During last century Eunice Ingham introduced Reflexology as we know it today, based upon Zone Therapy. She mapped out all of the reflexes on the feet and hands. Reflexology is now known as a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to all of the organs, glands and parts of the body. Reflexology is a unique method that uses the fingers and thumbs on these reflexes.
Reflexology helps relieve stress and tension, improves nerve and blood supply, promotes the unblocking of nerve impulses and helps nature normalize by creating balance within the body. It also cleanses the body from toxins. It is non-invasive therapy. It may be beneficial for just some of the following; Stress, Irritable bowel syndrome, back pain, digestive disorders, headaches, asthma, insomnia, sub-fertility, pregnancy plus help with energy levels. It is also great for children and babies.
